Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2012

Epcot's Annual International Flower and Garden Festival set for March 7 - March 20, 2012 !!

Through out Epcot you will see the SURE signs of spring.....topiaries GALORE !!  I am sure you will find your favorite character designed by one of the Horticulturists.  New this year are the Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden, a Kid's Garden, and Let's Get Moving (play structures for kids) !! 

In addition to all the beautiful flowers and topiaries, the 2012 Flower Power Concert Series featuring music from the 60's & 70's, will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sundays at the American Garden's Theatre (located in the World Showcase).

Hidden Mickeys !!

Well if you are addicitve to Disney (as I am) you know exactly what I am talking about, if you are "new" to the Disney Addiction well then by all means let me tell you about hidden Mickeys !!

Disney has a TON of mickey outlines "hidden" all over Disney World, Disneyland and the Disney Cruise Line.  You might come across a Mickey "hidden" in the wallpaper in your suites bathroom.  You might even come across a Mickey hidden in your salad !!! Yup, the people at Disney can pretty much make ANYTHING look like a Mickey Silloute.

Finding the hidden Mickeys has become an addiction all its own !!  You can walk through the park, not even step foot on a ride and have the adventure of a lifetime looking of the Hidden Mickeys !!  There is a hidden Mickey outside the Haunted Mansion....it's on a manhole cover !!  They can hide them ANYWHERE !!

What a great adventure for the kids....keep track of ALL the hidden Mickey's you find on your vacation !!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

What little girls doesn't want to be a Princess????  I think even the "adult" little girls want to be Princesses !! I know I wish I could fit into one of those cute little costumes they sell on Main Street !! But lucky for me I get to live my dream, through my daughter ! 

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique brings the dream of being a Princess to life !!  It is a beauty salon where your child is transformed into the Princess of her choice !!  The owner of the salon is Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, Fairy Godmothers in training run the salon and grant all your wishes. 

Hair, makeup and even fairy dust is provided !!  Depending on the package you choose your child can leave the salon fully dressed as her favorite princess and go onto her Princess Photo shoot !!

So much fun !! My daughter was given the package that included all the bells and whistles from Grand pop !! She was so excited to choose her Minnie Mouse light up dress !!  She absolutely loved having her picture taken as a Princess !!

Fantasyland !!!

Is anyone else patiently awaiting the opening of Fantasyland???  I can't wait !!! 

Look what Disney has in store for the ALL NEW Fantasyland expansion to the Magic Kingdom:

• Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid Ariel and all her friends will entertain you in a ride-through adventure featuring favorite songs from the popular animated feature

• Enchanted Tales with Belle where families and children will have the opportunity to meet Belle with a whole new degree of interactivity and personalization.  Beast's Castle will have the "Be My Guest Restaurant" inside and outside you will be able to explore Belle's village.

• Dumbo The Flying Elephant, complete with an interactive queue under the Big Top and not one but two Dumbo attractions.

• The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will take you on a rollicking, musical ride into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The coaster will feature a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride vehicles that swing back and forth as they whisk along the track. The journey will be accompanied by music from the classic Disney film and animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs.

• Cinderella and other Disney princesses, such as Tiana and Rapunzel, will greet you in an elegant royal court at the location where Snow White's Scary Adventure is today.

Disney is for EVERYONE !!

YES EVERYONE I said !!  

Having "special needs" doesn't mean you can enjoy Disney !!  In fact the staff ALL Disney Resorts and Theme parks will make sure that even those with Special Needs enjoy their Magical vacations !!


Disney provides guests with "special needs" a Guest Assistance Card (GAC).  These can be obtained by visiting Guest Relations at any of the Theme parks.  Your GAC will be valid for the entire length of your stay. 


So what exactly does the GAC provide those with special needs?  How do you "qualify" for one? 

To qualify for a GAC you must have a valid special need, psychological impairments, need for a EVC or wheelchair, serious health complications, you can not stand in the sun for long periods of time without health risk. Some guests bring medical information to "back up" their need for the GAC. 


Remember obtaining a GAC is not guaranteed, it is at the discreation of the Cast Members.  So be prepared to back up your request. 


With the GAC you will be provide any number of Guest Assitance solutions.  If you are unable to stand in the sun for long periods of time, the Cast Member at the attraction may be able to provide you with a shady area to wait.  If you require a wheelchair, you will be provided a seperate entrace to you and your party to access the ride.

Disney's Art Of Animation Resort !!

Now this is something I am SUPER excited about !! A resort my little guy will absolutely LOVE !! I wonder if he will ever want to leave the resort grounds.

Finding Nemo, Cars, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King are the basis of larger-than life decor on the exterior and highly-themed interiors for the hundreds of rooms and family suites that will make up the living areas of the hotel.

Slated to open Phase 1 in May 2012 !! Is your child a Cars fan? Maybe your princess just loves The Little Mermaid or isn't The Lion King that plays over and over in your home !

Top 5 MUSTS in Disney !!!

Are you wondering.....What are the best attractions?? What should I NOT miss when I got to Disney?

Well here are my Top 5 MUSTS in Disney....

1. It's A Small World (Magic Kingdom)....OK everyone says "It's A Small World" is a must see...but really...YOU HAVE to see it !! I guarantee you will feel 4 years old again, you will leave singing the song, and your kids will talk about it all day long !!

2. Soarin' (Epcot)....O...M...G....Can I just say I LOVE THIS RIDE !! I couldn't wait for my youngest to be tall enough to ride !! Soarin' through California !! (NOTE: If you are terrified of heights, you might want to skip this one).

3. Wishes !! (Magic Kingdom) The MUST SEE fireworks display !! No one does fireworks better than Disney !!

4. Toy Story Midway Mania (Disney's Hollywood Studios)....It's a video game...now it's a theme park ride !! Your kids will want to ride this over and over again. TIP: Get your fast pass !!

5. Festival Of The Lion King (Animal Kingdom) ...This show is a must see for every age !! Nothing compares to this show !!
